Our story

We exist because talent was never the problem.

East Africa has never been short of marketing talent. What it has been short of is training that treats the region as the main market rather than a footnote.

ISA Africa was founded to close that gap: to teach the full craft of brand building with African cases, African data, and African consumers at the centre, to a standard that stands up anywhere in the world.

Today we run globally accredited certification through CIM, our own flagship Integrated Brand Communications qualification, a paid apprenticeship that places graduates directly into agencies and brand teams, and bespoke training for organisations across the region.

The thread through all of it is the same. Marketers should leave able to do the work, not just describe it.

Our belief

Organise around people, not products.

Every programme starts with the marketer in the room and the job they have to do on Monday.

Since 1998

Two decades of East African marketing talent.

Trained in Nairobi, hired across the region and beyond.

How we teach

Six principles that shape every programme.

01

Built for African brands

Every case study, dataset, and media example is drawn from the East African market. You learn to build brands for African consumers, not hypothetical Western ones.

02

Taught by practitioners

Every trainer brings a decade or more of hands on industry experience. They teach on Tuesday what they did on Monday.

03

Integrated, not siloed

Brand, advertising, digital, and media belong in one conversation. Our flagship qualification teaches them that way.

04

AI woven through

AI tools sit inside every module, used the way working teams actually use them, not bolted on as a novelty session at the end.

05

Globally accredited

As an accredited CIM study centre with NITA recognition, the credentials you earn here travel beyond Nairobi.

06

Assessed on real work

Students are assessed through practical presentations on real brands, so what you graduate with is a portfolio, not just a transcript.

Faculty

Practitioners first, lecturers second.

Our trainers run brands, agencies, and media businesses across the region. Faculty profiles are being finalised — in the meantime, a discovery call will connect you directly with the lead trainer for your programme.
